The 2026 Italian asset management fair is coming: “Salone del Risparmio” in facts and figures

The sixteenth edition of the “Salone del Risparmio” international fair kicks off on May 5th. An international showcase to engage with Italian financial companies, institutions, distribution networks and the media

From May 5 to 7, the Salone del Risparmio returns to Allianz MiCo in Milan, the leading Italian event and one of the most important in Europe dedicated to the asset management industry. Established in 2010 and organized by Assogestioni, it takes place every year in the Lombardy capital and serves as a platform for discussion, professional development, and networking for all the players in the financial value chain, including asset management companies, distribution networks, advisors, institutions, media, and academia. It is a national and international showcase for participating companies, where media relations play a decisive role.

The gateway to the Italian market

The Salone del Risparmio, now in its sixteenth edition in 2026 under the title “Activating Liquidity, Accelerating Growth,” has experienced steady growth over the years. Recent editions have recorded over 20,000 total participants, with more than 15,000 in-person attendees and over 6,000 digital connections, around 100 conferences, and more than 300 speakers. The number of exhibitors is also significant, with over 150 companies present and around 95 already registered for the 2026 edition.

Among the key players are some of the leading Italian and global asset management companies and financial institutions, such as BlackRock, Amundi, Generali Asset Management, Anima SGR, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Invesco, and PIMCO. Alongside these global operators, major banking and distribution groups also take part, including Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, Mediobanca, Fineco, Banca Mediolanum, and specialized advisory networks.

The role of media relations

The Salone del Risparmio is not just a trade fair but also a venue for education and professional development, where key topics such as innovation, sustainability, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic scenarios are discussed.

Its importance is twofold. For Italian companies, it represents the annual opportunity to engage with the market, strengthen relationships, present strategies, and consolidate positioning. For international firms, it also serves as a privileged gateway to the Italian market, enabling them to meet local distributors, understand demand dynamics, and build relationships in a highly qualified environment. For this reason, the event is also a powerful media showcase, and the concentration of stakeholders, journalists, and opinion leaders makes it strategic to complement participation with a credible press and communication strategy. Effective engagement with Italian media—through interviews, dedicated events, and public relations—allows companies to amplify their visibility and establish or strengthen their position in the Italian market.
